Wanda Jackson and her forthcoming Jack White-produced album, The Party Ain't Over, are the subject of a feature article in the latest issue of American Songwriter magazine. "I don’t know too many female names in the rock and roll world that come before her," White says. "She put in that energy to take it someplace totally new," he says of Jackson and the new album. "It’s a testament to how much someone can fall in love with music.”

When Wanda Jackson, the Queen of Rockabilly, recorded “Let’s Have a Party,” a tune she made into a hit of her own in 1958 even after one-time boyfriend Elvis Presley had released a version of it, her delivery of the chorus wasn’t so much a suggestion as a command. As the title—and, more importantly, the contents—of her latest album, The Party Ain’t Over, indicates, this feisty septuagenarian artist is as galvanizing as ever. Check out the cover art and hear what Jackson has to say about the new record.

Wanda Jackson is in Texas this weekend to play The Continental Clubs of Austin and Houston. Austin's American Statesman says: "It's an exciting time to be Wanda Jackson." The Boston Globe says of her recent Boston-area show: "Jackson’s signature growl was in glorious form. Her voice still has its distinct, syrupy twang, and she was vibrant as ever, weaving recollections, wisecracks, and in-the-moment observations in among the music."
