The Black Keys have released the music video for "Little Black Submarines," the new single off the band's latest album, El Camino. The video, directed by Danny Clinch, captures the band performing before an intimate audience at the Springwater Supper Club in Nashville. Watch the video below via The Black Keys' YouTube channel.

As The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach told Rolling Stone, which premiered the video in the US, the band opted for the performance video over another storyline in the works and went on to play a full show for the fans in the Nashville audience.

"We all just sort of kind of mutually agreed that it should probably just be the performance and not any of the other extra stuff," Auerbach tells Rolling Stone. “Luckily we had live footage so we turned it into a live video. We just sort of said 'You know, it was fun kind of performing here at a small club with the fans. Why don't we just have it be that?'"

Or, as NME writes in its UK premiere of the new video "from all-conquering blues-rockers The Black Keys," it "finds them doing what they do best—rocking the tits off a room full of people."

And speaking of the UK, The Black Keys have just added a second London date to their recently announced December tour of the UK, now closing out the run with shows at the O2 Arena December 12 and 13. For additional details on these and other upcoming shows, go to nonesuch.com/on-tour.

The Library of Congress has acquired the collection of manuscripts, instruments, costumes, video and audio recordings, and more from Kronos Quartet and its non-profit organization, Kronos Performing Arts Association. “It’s gratifying to know that Kronos’ legacy will be preserved in perpetuity alongside the manuscripts and other treasures of so many other influential musicians from the US and around the world," said KPAA Executive Director Janet Cowperthwaite. "We are perhaps even more excited to reflect upon all the musicians and scholars who will have access to these materials in years to come, informing their own work and carrying Kronos’ inspiration and influence into the future.” The Library also appointed Kronos founder, artistic director, and violinist David Harrington as the Kluge Chair in Modern Culture and inducted Kronos’ 1992 album Pieces of Africa into the National Recording Registry.
