Bombino, whose Dan Auerbach-produced album, Nomad, was released last year and landed on many a year-end best list, including those of NPR, the CBC, iTunes, and Rolling Stone, kicks off the latest leg of his world tour with two sets at the Savannah Music Festival in Savannah, Georgia, tonight, alongside Fatoumata Diawara. They perform two double bills in the North Garden of the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, closing out the penultimate night of the festival. Bombino next takes his month-long North American tour down to the TransAtlantic Festival in Miami, out West for dates in Colorado, Arizona, California, Oregon, British Columbia, Oklahoma, and Nevada, and back down South to Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. The tour includes festival sets at Coachella, Tulsa Roots Music Bash, New Orleans JazzFest, and Austin Psych Fest.

The Tuareg guitarist, singer, and songwriter next makes his way overseas to France for a three-night run in late May followed by a stream of festival dates around Europe. Following a few festival sets back in the US and Canada, Bombino and his band return to Europe for additional festival sets.
