Oberst, backed by The Felice Brothers, begins the next leg of his US tour in California tonight, with shows in Grass Valley, Oakland, Los Angeles, and San Diego, this week. The tour continues through the summer with headlining shows and festival sets, from Austin to Omaha, Birmingham to Brooklyn, Boston, DC, and more, culminating in a set at the XPoNential Festival in Camden on July 28.

Oberst has partnered with Plus 1 so that $1 from every ticket sold on US headline dates will go to Planned Parenthood and their work delivering vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of women, men, and young people in the US and worldwide.

The band brings the music to Europe and the UK in August, then returns home for more North American dates in September. See below for all of the upcoming dates; for the complete tour, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

Salutations, a companion piece to 2016's lauded Ruminations, was released in March to critical acclaim. The Sunday Express exclaims: “The results are quite simply sublime. This is songwriting of the very highest quality, Oberst’s lyrics rarely less than astonishing. Wonderful." The Independent gives the album a perfect five stars, calling it "probably the best work of the singer’s career."

The Library of Congress has acquired the collection of manuscripts, instruments, costumes, video and audio recordings, and more from Kronos Quartet and its non-profit organization, Kronos Performing Arts Association. “It’s gratifying to know that Kronos’ legacy will be preserved in perpetuity alongside the manuscripts and other treasures of so many other influential musicians from the US and around the world," said KPAA Executive Director Janet Cowperthwaite. "We are perhaps even more excited to reflect upon all the musicians and scholars who will have access to these materials in years to come, informing their own work and carrying Kronos’ inspiration and influence into the future.” The Library also appointed Kronos founder, artistic director, and violinist David Harrington as the Kluge Chair in Modern Culture and inducted Kronos’ 1992 album Pieces of Africa into the National Recording Registry.
