k.d. lang, whose Ingénue: 25th Anniversary Edition two-disc set was released on CD by Nonesuch last week (with vinyl due August 18), further celebrates the Grammy and Juno Award–winning album's silver anniversary with the Ingénue Redux Tour, beginning with three shows in Melbourne, Australia, this week: at Plenary Hall on Tuesday and the State Theatre on Thursday and Friday. The tour continues in Australia, with shows in Perth and Sydney next week, followed by a month of concerts across the singer’s home country of Canada in August and September, stopping in all ten provinces from coast to coast, culminating at FirstOntario Concert Hall in Hamilton on September 19. (The National Music Centre in Calgary recently opened a special exhibition honoring lang's career called Big, Big Love: k.d. lang on Stage.)

To pick up a copy, head to your local record shop, iTunes, Amazon, JB Hi-Fi (Australia), and the Nonesuch Store, where CD orders and vinyl pre-orders include a download of the complete album at checkout.

The Library of Congress has acquired the collection of manuscripts, instruments, costumes, video and audio recordings, and more from Kronos Quartet and its non-profit organization, Kronos Performing Arts Association. “It’s gratifying to know that Kronos’ legacy will be preserved in perpetuity alongside the manuscripts and other treasures of so many other influential musicians from the US and around the world," said KPAA Executive Director Janet Cowperthwaite. "We are perhaps even more excited to reflect upon all the musicians and scholars who will have access to these materials in years to come, informing their own work and carrying Kronos’ inspiration and influence into the future.” The Library also appointed Kronos founder, artistic director, and violinist David Harrington as the Kluge Chair in Modern Culture and inducted Kronos’ 1992 album Pieces of Africa into the National Recording Registry.
