A new, limited-edition, black 7" vinyl by Conor Oberst will be released on Nonesuch Records on November 25, 2016, exclusively as a part of Record Store Day's Black Friday event at independent record shops. The vinyl features a new full-band recording of "Tachycardia," a song on his just-released solo album Ruminations, paired with "Afterthought," an unreleased track from the Ruminations recording sessions. The disc is being pressed at Record Industry in the Netherlands.

The Black Friday release follows the October 14 release of Ruminations on Nonesuch. "Ruminations is one of Conor Oberst's most personal records," says NPR Music's Bob Boilen, "a collection of brave, dark songs ... that are unmistakably moving and contain some of Oberst's best lyrics and imagery." Glide magazine says "Ruminations is one of those albums that will inevitably rank as a landmark in Oberst’s trajectory," likening it to Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, Bob Dylan's Blood on the Track, and Leonard Cohen's Songs of Love and Hate.

To get Ruminations now, head to your local record shop, iTunes, Amazon, or the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the complete album at checkout; the album is also available to purchase there as 192kHz/24bit HD FLAC files. You can also hear the album on Spotify and Apple Music.

Obert resumes his Ruminations tour in his hometown of Omaha on November 3. For tour details, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

DAVÓNE TINES & THE TRUTH’s “LET IT SHINE” is the first song from their new work ROBESOИ. In ROBESOИ, which premieres June 27 (preview June 26) at NYC’s Little Island, Davóne Tines grapples with the legacy of a hero. Exploding the musical repertoire of Paul Robeson, Tines and his band THE TRUTH take us on a trip from the stage of Carnegie Hall to the floor of a Moscow hotel room, in an attempt to understand an icon not through aspiring to his monumentality, but through connecting to his vulnerability. The members of THE TRUTH are pianist John Bitoy and sound artist Khari Lucas. Details of the forthcoming ROBESOИ album, Tines’ solo recording debut, will be announced soon.

MESTIZX, Bolivian-born singer and multimedia performer Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti and Chicago expat jazz drummer Frank Rosaly's debut full-length album as co-composers, arrangers, and musicians, is out now. Partners in both marriage and art, the Amsterdam-based duo dove deep into the sounds of their respective ancestral roots in Bolivia, Brazil, and Puerto Rico to create this deeply personal meditation on decolonization and the defiant power of ritual and protest. Also out today is a video for the album track "TURBULÊNCIA."
