Sara Watkins will join Garrison Keillor and the cast of public radio's A Prairie Home Companion on another cross-country tour that will take the popular radio host and his pals from Alaska to Alabama this August and September on their second-annual Summer Love Tour. Watkins was along for the ride on last summer's inaugural tour and will return for the tour's final nine stops this time around.

The concert tours will consist of "evenings of passionate duets, hot jazz, Catchup, English Majors and Poesy" and feature Watkins—a frequent guest on the Prairie Home Companion radio show and, earlier this year, a guest host—the Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band and sound effects wizard Mr. Fred Newman.

While these are not APHC broadcast shows, they will include such favorite Prairie Home Companion elements as Guy Noir Private Eye, the Cowboys Dusty and Lefty, and all the latest News from Lake Wobegon.
