James Farm—the collaborative band featuring saxophonist Joshua Redman, pianist Aaron Parks, bassist Matt Penman, and drummer Eric Harland—released its self-titled debut album earlier this year on Nonesuch Records, followed by several live performances that included a four-night residency at New York's Jazz Standard. As James Farm hits the road again, launching the next leg of its tour this Friday at the Monterey Jazz Festival, where Redman is artist-in-residence, the band has unveiled three videos from the Jazz Standard residency. Watch them below.

In the videos, recorded in June, James Farm performs three songs from the debut album: "Star Crossed" and "Polliwog," both written by Redman, and "Coax," written by Penman. The album uses traditional acoustic jazz quartet instrumentation for its song-based approach to jazz and incorporates the members’ myriad influences: rock, soul, folk, classical, electronica. The New York Times calls James Farm "a model of dazzling proficiency." To pick up a copy of the album, head to the Nonesuch Store, where CD orders include high-quality, 320 kbps MP3s of the album at checkout.

Following this weekend's show in Monterey, where Redman will be performing multiple sets as artist-in-residence, James Farm takes the show to upstate New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Washington state, and back to California. For details, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.
