The music video for The Arcs' "Put a Flower in Your Pocket," directed by "El Oms" (artist Omar Juarez), premiered today via Noisey, which calls the track "dirty, bluesy soulful music with a reverbed, modern twist." The song, which premiered on Zane Lowe's show on Beats 1 earlier today, is from The Arcs' upcoming debut album, Yours, Dreamily, out Friday, September 4, on Nonesuch Records. Director El Oms, who also created the album's artwork, said of the video, "My style is a combination of Chicano Art mixed with universal monsters. Or, more specifically, the wolf man. The characters in the video are Rosie, the boxer, and the gangster. Rosie and the boxer are in their 20s and share equal interests in each other—ever since they laid eyes on each other it was love at first sight. However, there is one big obstacle between them: Rosie's boyfriend the gangster and his gangster lifestyle. After seeing her boyfriend cutting off the hand of the boxer for losing the biggest fight in his career, Rosie shot her boyfriend in retaliation and fled with the boxer. Unknowingly to her, though, the gangster lived and came back to kill the boxer. Rosie, being devastated, took her own life to be with her love in the ghost world … GHOST LOVERS."

The first single from Yours, Dreamily, "Outta My Mind," has garnered critical acclaim, with Vulture praising its "raw, bare-bones appeal" and Spin noting its "barrage of deliciously reverbed, strung-out riffs." Additionally, "Stay in My Corner" recently premiered at NPR Music, which said "it's got a slinky, timeless feel, propelled with alluring ease by Auerbach's falsetto and a lush instrumental backdrop befitting The Arcs' roster."

The Arcs are Dan Auerbach, Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, and Nick Movshon. Also featured on the album are Kenny Vaughan and Mariachi Flor de Toloache. The group collaboratively wrote and recorded 13 tracks for Yours, Dreamily, with the musicians playing a large array of roles both vocally and instrumentally. Co-produced by Auerbach and Michels, the album was recorded in roughly two weeks through spontaneous, informal sessions across the country at the Sound Factory in Los Angeles, the Diamond Mine in Queens, Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, and in a lounge room at Electric Lady in Manhattan. Tchad Blake mixed the album on his horse farm in Wales.

In advance of Yours, Dreamily, The Arcs recently released two 7-inch singles (both with art designed by El Oms) b/w additional non-LP tracks, which are available now at independent retail outlets, thearcs.com, and the Nonesuch Store. The first includes the songs "Stay in My Corner" b/w "Tomato Can" and the second includes "Outta My Mind" b/w "My Mind."
