The Black Keys kicked off release week for their new album, El Camino, with a special, intimate performance for a few lucky fans at New York City's Webster Hall and many more who watched the concert via the live webcast live on MTV Hive Monday night. The set included songs off the new album that have already become crowd favorites, as well as favorites from throughout the band's decade-long career, making for what MTV Hive says "felt like a celebration of the band’s recent rise to rock stardom." You can now watch three song from Monday's show—"Gold on the Ceiling" and "Lonely Boy" off of El Camino and "Howlin' for You," "Next Girl," and "Tighten Up" off of their previous album, Brothers—below.

Rolling Stone's David Fricke, reviewing the show, says the duo "sealed their ten-year ascent—from a pair of hard-working aces, cutting heavy-attitude fuzz-box blues under basement and abandoned-factory conditions in Akron, Ohio, to the best young classic-rock band in America—with a tight and feisty" set, "displaying everything they've learned and mastered over that decade."

The Library of Congress has acquired the collection of manuscripts, instruments, costumes, video and audio recordings, and more from Kronos Quartet and its non-profit organization, Kronos Performing Arts Association. “It’s gratifying to know that Kronos’ legacy will be preserved in perpetuity alongside the manuscripts and other treasures of so many other influential musicians from the US and around the world," said KPAA Executive Director Janet Cowperthwaite. "We are perhaps even more excited to reflect upon all the musicians and scholars who will have access to these materials in years to come, informing their own work and carrying Kronos’ inspiration and influence into the future.” The Library also appointed Kronos founder, artistic director, and violinist David Harrington as the Kluge Chair in Modern Culture and inducted Kronos’ 1992 album Pieces of Africa into the National Recording Registry.
