Devendra Banhart has unveiled "Mi Negrita," a third track off his forthcoming Nonesuch debut album, Mala, due out March 12. The song premiered on Venezuela's Cochinopop, a fitting launch for the Spanish-language song, which Banhart conjured up while envisioning himself on the set of the Venezuelan variety show Super Sabado Sensacional, a program he’d watch as a child growing up in Caracas in the ’80s. Listen to "Mi Negrita" here.

"It's a gentle, dreamy, guitar-driven ballad with military-style drums," says NME. "'Love, you're a strange fella,' sings Banhart, above dreamy backing vocals and synth effects. Very pretty indeed."
