Monsoon rains have caused extensive flooding throughout Pakistan, hitting about one fifth of the country, affecting over 14 million people, leaving 900,000 homes damaged or destroyed, and leading to the deaths of more than 1,600 people.

Björk recently announced that sales of her forthcoming song, "The Comet Song," coming soon to the iTunes from the film Moomins and the Comet, will support UNICEF's efforts in Pakistan.
