Punch Brothers have been celebrating the release of their new album, Antifogmatic, touring with Steve Martin. Tonight, the band will perform the album track "Rye Whiskey" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The band was at Bonnaroo last Friday, photos from which are now on nonesuch.com/media. Paste says: "On Antifogmatic, the guys sound more sure of themselves, more polished, more self-aware. The warm harmonies and crisp mandolin plucks and fiddle strains ... ring with the resounding clarity the album’s title suggests."

Punch Brothers have been celebrating the release of their latest Nonesuch album, Antifogmatic, all week, performing music from the new record across the country, opening for Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers at the Ravinia Festival and in Minneapolis, Denver, and Salt Lake City. And tonight, the band will perform the album track "Rye Whiskey" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The show airs on NBC starting at 11:35 ET.

The celebration got off to an early start at last Friday's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, where the band, in addition to performing on stage in a set that can be heard on NPR.org, managed to mix up a few cocktails to temper the sweltering Bonnaroo heat (pictured at left). It was in keeping with the theme of the new record, which is named after a type of 19th-century alcoholic drink that was meant as a head-clearing cure for the effects of various, often weather-related discomforts. There are plenty more photos from the band's day at Bonnaroo, taken by Michael Witcher, the photographer and brother of the band's fiddle player, Gabe, in a new photo gallery at nonesuch.com/media.

The band is featured in a new profile in Paste magazine, which says: "On Antifogmatic, the guys sound more sure of themselves, more polished, more self-aware. The warm harmonies and crisp mandolin plucks and fiddle strains on tracks like 'Alex' and 'This Is the Song (Good Luck)' ring with the resounding clarity the album’s title suggests." There's more festival fun in store from Punch Brothers this weekend, as they return to Colorado for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival this weekend. It was at Tellurdie five summers ago that band members Chris Thile and Noam Pikelny first met. For more information, head to nonesuch.com/on-tour. To pick up a copy of Antifogmatic, head to the Nonesuch Store.
