    Yola was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC last night. She performed “Faraway Look” from her multiple Grammy Award–nominated, critically acclaimed debut album, Walk Through Fire, as well as her cover of Elton John’s classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." You can watch both here.

    Rhiannon Giddens and Yola, both nominated for Grammy Awards last week, were featured on the Austin City Limits special of performance highlights from the Americana Honors & Awards. Giddens and Francesco Turrisi performed "Wayfaring Stranger," from their album, there is no Other. Yola sang "Faraway Look" from her album, Walk Through Fire. The special aired on PBS stations over the weekend and can now be seen here.

    David Byrne and the cast of American Utopia on Broadway performed the classic Talking Heads tune "Road to Nowhere" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night. The song is featured in the critically acclaimed production and on the original cast album. Before the performance, Byrne sat down to speak with Fallon about the Broadway show and to teach him a bit of his Annie-B Parson–choreographed dance moves from the show. You can watch it here.

    Kudos to Rhiannon Giddens, Yola, and Punch Brothers guitarist Chris "Critter" Eldridge on a wonderful night of music and words at the Americana Honors & Awards ceremony at the Ryman in Nashville last night. Giddens received the inaugural Legacy of Americana Award, made a beautiful speech honoring posthumous recipient Frank Johnson, and gave a haunting performance of "Wayfaring Stranger" with Francesco Turrisi. Yola, introduced by Dan Auerbach, brought the house down singing "Faraway Look." And Eldridge took home the award for Instrumentalist of the Year. Tune in to a special episode of Austin City Limits on November 23 with performance highlights from the evening.

    Rhiannon Giddens performed in a concert celebrating Country Music, the new Ken Burns film, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in March, joining Dierks Bentley, Rosanne Cash, Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, Kathy Mattea, Marty Stuart, Dwight Yoakam, and others. The concert was broadcast on PBS yesterday and can be seen here. Giddens performs "Ruby Are You Mad at Your Man" with Ketch Secor, Willie Nelson's "Crazy," and in the all-star finale, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." Country Music premieres on PBS this Sunday. Giddens receives the inaugural Legacy of Americana Award at the Americana Honors & Awards this Wednesday.

    Natalie Merchant was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She performed 10,000 Maniacs' "These Are Days," joined by The Roots, and gave an intimate online-exclusive performance of her song "Motherland." You can watch both here. Merchant also spoke with John Wilson for the podcast These Three about three songs: one she wrote, one she wishes she'd written, and one she's working on now. Her two-week, sold-out US tour concludes in Hudson, NY, tonight.

    Mountain Man, while on its US Magic Ship tour, performed a Birmingham concert captured for the public television program Subcarrier.
